August 2018

The August meeting started at our new and earlier time, doors opening at 6:30 pm and meeting started at 7:00pm.  This new time will continue through the winter to see how it works for members that live farther away.

The meeting was run by Cathy and there was a polymer clay demonstration by Teresa (with help from her friend and guest Jeannine).  The demonstration was on how to start making "mille fiori" canes using two colours of polymer clay.  Teresa and Jeannine took a workshop with the talented clay artist Wanda Shum earlier in the year.

The demonstration was inspiring!

We had our show and tell as well and as always, some great dolls were displayed:

Pixie and bird, made by Michele

Polymer clay buttons made by Maida

Pinocchio and Bird, made by Bobbi

Made by Cathy from a Jill Maas pattern

A Bed Doll, purchased by Jan in her travels on the mainland

Asian bust made by our guest Jeannine from polymer clay and  epoxy from a class by Deb Wood

Jeannine from the Children of the World series by the talented Deb Wood

Hope to see you all next month and remember to keep creating for our up coming show at the Coast Collective "Go Figure III" on October 10 to 21st!
